Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, unveiled three National Highway (NH) projects worth ?3,695 crore in Washim, Maharashtra. These projects have significantly enhanced connectivity in the region, with a particular focus on improving trade relations between Maharashtra and Telangana. The initiatives include the construction of a 4-lane National Highway 161 from Akola in Maharashtra to Sangareddy in Telangana, involving three distinct packages. These developments will connect key locations across Akola, Washim, Nanded, and Hingoli districts, improving access to religious and tourist sites and fostering economic opportunities in the region.
