The Nagpur-Mumbai High-Speed Bullet Train project proposes a 741 km elevated rail line running parallel to the Samruddhi highway. The detailed project report (DPR) has been prepared and submitted to the Railway Board. The Railway Board will review the DPR and forward the proposal to the Centre. The project is expected to commence soon, benefiting 10 directly connected districts and 13 indirectly. It will feature 15 stations along its route, including Mumbai, Thane, Nashik, Aurangabad, Shirdi, and more.
