New and Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh Limited (NREDCAP)
NREDCAP is seeking environment clearance for the Paidipalem North Pumped Storage Project (1000 MW). The project proposes to utilize the water from the existing Paidipalem balancing reservoir which has a gross storage capacity of 6.00 TMC (170 MCM). Water from Paidipalem balancing reservoir will be pumped and stored in the lower reservoir which will be used for power generation. The project will have new lower and upper reservoirs.
