Telangana Government to Install Solar Power Plants for Schools, Easing Financial Strain

Project News | Project Update | Project Opportunities

The Telangana government is embarking on a project to establish solar power plants, aimed at alleviating the financial burden of electricity expenses for various government-run schools. Approximately 5,267 schools will benefit from this initiative, encompassing 4,600 government and local authority high schools, 475 Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBVs), and 192 Model Schools. The plan involves providing a 5-kilowatt solar power plant for each selected government and local authority high school, while KGBVs and Model Schools, as residential institutions with higher electricity requirements, will receive 10-kilowatt plants.
