Northern Railway has devised a solution to alleviate congestion around New Delhi station’s Paharganj side by constructing 11 km of elevated corridors that will lead to the station. These elevated passages will offer multiple entry points via Basant Lane, Chelmsford Road, and Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Marg. The exit ramp will be situated on Asaf Ali Marg and Bhavbhuti Marg. The Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) recently issued a tender for this project. Furthermore, the initiative encompasses widening the nearby roads like Chelmsford Road, Bhavbhuti Marg, Minto Road, Panchkuian Road, and Basant Road.
