Hatsun Agro Product Ltd, the fourth largest dairy products producer in India, has decided to sell its 24 MW wind power capacity and shift to sourcing power from solar plants. As the demand for electricity from its ice-cream plants peaks during the summer months, the company aims to align its power generation with its consumption patterns. By entering bilateral deals with solar power plants, Hatsun Agro Product Ltd aims to meet its annual electricity consumption of around 9 crore kWhr more efficiently.
