Project News | Project Update | Project Opportunities

Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) has revised its Phase II plan, resulting in the removal of nine stations and a slight reduction in the total length of the project. The changes were made in compliance with a court order to publish an updated route alignment map. Corridor lengths have been adjusted, with Corridor 3 now spanning 45.4 km and Corridor 5 covering 44.6 km. The total length of Phase II has been shortened from 118.9 km to 118.1 km, and the number of stations decreased from 127 to 118. Several stations have been removed, while new stations have been added, ensuring convenient access for commuters. The revisions aim to address land acquisition issues while still covering the planned areas.
