The construction of Mumbai Metro’s Line 12, also known as the Orange Line, has attracted interest from eleven companies. The 20.07-kilometer-long fully elevated metro line, running between Kalyan and Taloja, will feature 17 stations. The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) had previously invited tenders in February 2023 for the project’s construction, split into two civil packages with a 30-month timeline. A total of 19 bids have been submitted by the companies, with Afcons Infrastructure, Gawar Construction, G R Infraprojects, J Kumar Infraprojects, Kalpataru Power Transmission, KEC International, and Larsen and Toubro bidding for both packages, while NCC, SAM India Builtwell, SP Singla Constructions, and Tata Projects placed bids for one package
