According to a study, India needs investments worth Rs 33,750 crore to establish up 50 GWh of lithium-ion cell and battery production facilities in order to meet the government’s PLI target. According to an independent analysis recently published by the Council on Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW), the nation needs up to 903 GWh of energy storage to decarbonize its power and transportation sectors by 2030. The majority of this need will be met by lithium-ion batteries.
