IREDA and SJVN signs up for a 1000 MW solar power project financing

Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd. (IREDA) and SJVN Green Energy Ltd. (SGEL, a subsidiary of SJVN Ltd.) recently inked a loan financing agreement for Rs. 4,444.71 crore for a 1,000 MW solar power plant in Bikaner, Rajasthan. The IREDA-funded project will connect to 400/220 KV substation Bikaner-II. Through a competitive bidding process based on VGF support, SJVN won the project through the CPSU Phase-II (Tranche III) Scheme tender invited by IREDA for the development of Grid Connected Solar PV Power Project.
