Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL)
The Phase III of the Namma Metro project has received the in-principle approval from the Karnataka Government. 40% of the cost will be funded by the the State and the Union Government jointly, while the remaining funds will be arranged through debt. Around 110 acres of land will be required. Under this phase, BMRCL will construct two new corridors: one will be the extension of the metro line from Kempapura to J.P. Nagar 4th Phase covering a distance of 32.15 km with 22 stations. Another corridor will come up between Hosahalli to Kadabagere along Magadi Road covering a distance of 12.5 km with nine stations.
