Aurobindo is setting up Penicillin G (Pen G) factory and is targeting to complete it by March 2024. The project was given the go-ahead by the Government under the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme to encourage domestic production of essential core raw materials and active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs). The unit is likely to have a production capacity of 15,000 tonnes yearly.
