Indian Railways (IR)
Indian Railways intends to build 100 Gati-Shakti Cargo Terminals (GCT) to increase freight loadings. Thirty-six players have received preliminary authorisation from the railways to establish GCT with private involvement by 2024. 66 private participants have expressed interest in setting up such private terminals, however only 10 of these terminals have been put into operation thus far.
