World Bank funding for water project in Chennai

The Greater Chennai Corporation is seeking a Rs 376 crore funding from the World Bank for the city’s drinking water project. The Water Resources Department (WRD), Metro Water, Chennai Corporation, and the Transport Department will collaborate on the project. The scheme’s Detailed Project Report (DPR) will be presented to the World Bank soon. The DPR was created in collaboration with the Chennai Corporation and Metro Water.
