In Uttar Pradesh, the government plans to build 80 new high-capacity electrical substations. This brings the state’s total number of significant substations to 173. The goal is to improve power infrastructure and provide an uninterrupted supply of electricity in the state, as well as install 266.88 lakh pre-paid smart metres in the next five years. 593 33/11 KV substations will be built for power distribution by the end of the fiscal year 2024-25.
