JICA supports Bengaluru water supply project

The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has agreed to give a ?2,391 crore Japanese Official Development Assistance (ODA) loan for the building of water supply and sewerage infrastructure under the Bengaluru Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) Project (Phase 3). The project seeks to serve inhabitants in Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) districts, including the newly added 110 villages, with safe and dependable water supply and sewerage services by constructing water treatment and sewage treatment plants, as well as related facilities.
