At Igatpuri railway station in Nashik district, the Mumbai division of the Central Railway (CR) has commissioned a 40-kilowatt peak (kWp) solar power plant. The panels have been erected over the platform covers at both stations and even at the railways’ sub-divisional hospital in Igatpuri, assisting in the generation of electricity.
