Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL)
RVNL is constructing the 2.07-km long New Pamban Bridge with 99 spans of 18.3 metres, a navigational span of 72 metres, that will move vertically upwards, enabling movement of ships/steamers. The Pamban Bridge is a railway bridge which connects the town of Mandapam with Pamban Island, and Rameswaram. The project is likely to complete by March 2022.
