Union Government sanctions Rs 726 crore for 14 NH projects in M.P.

The Government of India has recently approved Rs 726 crore to construct and strengthen 291 kilometres of roads of 14 National Highway projects in the state of Madhya Pradesh. The approval had been given for preparation of the Detailed Project Reports (DPR) for new routes, strengthening of pre-established National Highways and construction of new roads under 14 National Highway projects in the state. Some of these projects include: 1) Strengthening of roadways on NH-30 in Sohagi, Garh, and Katra towns received sanction of Rs.7.83 crore. 2) Detailed project report will be prepared for the construction of 572 km of National Highways, Rs 21.87 crore had been sanctioned in this regard. 3) Rs 19.67 crore had been sanctioned for the Sagar Tola-Shahdol National Highway. 4) Rs 7.45 crore had been sanctioned for strengthening of the Gulganj-Amanganj NH-43. 5) Rs 22.65 crore had been sanctioned for strengthening of the Sagar-Chhatarpur NH-86. 6) A total of Rs 9.11 crore had been sanctioned for the Damoh-Hirapur National Highway 12. 7) Rs 529.4 crore had been sanctioned for the Sidhi-Singrauli highway, among others.
