According to a February 2021 report by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, Out of 1736 projects, as many as 449 infrastructure projects, each worth ?150 crore or more, have been hit by cost overruns totalling more than ?4.29 lakh crore. 547 projects are in delay mode.
