Rungta Mines Limited plans to undertake the expansion programme of the Karakhendra Steel Plant in Barbil Tahsil of Kendujhar district of Odisha. The aim is to increase the annual production of 0.121 million tons to 0.606 million tons. Apart from this the power plant with 121 MW capacity will be set up.The estimated cost of the project will be INR 1,898.69 crore. The project is estimated to complete in 45 months.
