Chandigarh Municipal Corporation
The civic body plans to invite expression of interest from various agencies to run the waste processing plant in Sector-25. The city produces nearly 470 metric tonnes of waste daily.The civic body had taken over the plant around six months back from the Jaypee Group after a dispute over its management. Currently the plant is functional at around 10 per cent. The selected agency will upgrade or replace the existing machinery and manage the plant.
