Centre approves 1 GWh grid-scale battery storage system
The Centre has approved SECI for calling expression of interest (EoI) for setting up a 1 gigawatt-hour (GWh) grid-scale battery storage system.

NTPC Limited plans to setup 1 GWh grid-scale battery storage system (BESS) at its power plants in India. Expression of interest were called in August 2021.
