Lower Suktel Irrigation Project in the State of Odisha is a major irrigation project located near village Magurguda in Bolangir block of Bolangir district.The dam site is proposed across river Suktel in Mahanadi basin.The project aims to irrigate nearly 32,000 hectares of land in Balangir and Sonepur district. More than Rs 12000 crore is likely to be spent on this project.The project is expected to be completed by 2023-24.
