New Era is establishing a 5 MMTPA coal gasification plant at MIDC, Chandrapur (Bhadravati), Maharashtra, for coal-to-chemical conversion. The project, located near a coal mine pithead, will be executed in two phases. Phase 1 includes a 1,300 TPD hydrogen production unit, while the final phase will add large-scale production of methanol, dimethyl ether, acetic acid, ammonia, urea, monoethylene glycol, and ammonium nitrate.
