Nagpur Municipal Corporation

Nagpur Municipal Corporation has inaugurated India’s first dry fermentation technology-based waste-to-energy plant at the Bhandewadi landfill. Developed with Netherlands-based SusBDe LOC, the plant aims to produce 27 million cubic metres of biogas annually from legacy and daily waste. Currently processing 200 MT of waste daily, it is expected to reach full capacity by March 2025, significantly enhancing sustainable waste management in the city.
