NTPC Limited is setting up a one tonne per day seawater-to-green hydrogen plant at its Simhadri facility near Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Developed by NTPC’s R&D center, NETRA, the project will utilize a low-carbon desalination plant powered by waste heat from thermal power plant flue gas, enabling cost-effective conversion of seawater into hydrogen-grade water.
