CCEA Approves ?2962 Crore Development of New Civil Enclaves at Bagdogra and Bihta Airports

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has approved the development of new civil enclaves at Bagdogra and Bihta airports, with a total investment of ?2962.00 crore to enhance regional connectivity and meet growing air travel demand. The Bagdogra project, costing ?1549.00 crore, will feature a 70,390-square-meter terminal for 3,000 Peak Hour Passengers (PHP), a Green Building design, and various facilities, while the ?1413.00 crore Bihta project aims to alleviate congestion at Patna Airport with a new terminal accommodating up to 5 million passengers annually, expandable to 10 million.
