Union Budget 2023-24 reaction from Kamal Gupta, Managing Director, J Kumar Infraprojects Limited
This year’s budget will go down in history as a memorable one for the country’s infrastructure sector with a record allocation of Rs 10 lac crore. The finance minister has accorded the highest priority to rail, metro, national highways and roads, ports, logistics and shipping as state-of-the-art infrastructure is a prerequisite for building a globally comparable economy. Indian economy is one of the fastest growing economies in the world and enhanced outlay in the budget will take us closer to achieving the ambitious $5 trillion economy by 2028- 29. The honourable finance minister deserves all kudos for presenting a growth-oriented budget.
The green growth initiative under the 7 priorities underlined by the finance minister will boost eco-friendly urban transport and metro rail will play a critical role in offering congestion-free and efficient transport facilities across metropolitan cities and fast-growing other towns in the country
