The Government of Gujarat is setting up bulk drugs park under the Promotion of Bulk Drug Parks scheme guidelines, issued by the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, government of India on July 27, 2020. The aim is to promote bulk drugs, active pharmaceutical ingredients and critical pharmaceutical ingredients manufacturing. The project cost is estimated to be ?2,300 crore. The Centre has given in-principle approval to proposal with a financial grant-in-aid of ?1,000 crore.
