A budget of Rs. 1894 crore for Gurugram for the fiscal year 20222023 was authorised by the chief minister of Haryana. Several maintenance and infrastructure projects in the city of Gurugram received permission. It was approved to add eight flyovers, a six-lane main road, and a six-lane service road to the Southern Peripheral Road (SPR), which runs from the village of Ghata to NH-48 via Vatika Chowk. At a cost of Rs 119.15 crore, a service road measuring 7.5 metres wide and roughly 15.30 kilometres long will be built on either side of the Dwarka Expressway. To avoid waterlogging in thousands of acres of land adjacent to the drain, a lake and sewage treatment plant (STP) will be constructed. The other projects that have been approved include a proposal to connect the Leg-2 and Leg-3 storm drains in Gurugram to the Najafgarh drain, the construction of a 12 km long master sewer line in sectors 77 to 80, and a 40 MLD STP plant in the village of Naurangpur in the district.
