OMC to setup five model schools

Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) wants to build five model schools and a skill academy in its area operations. OMC and the Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan have agreed to establish five ‘Mining Adarsha Vidyalayas.’ It has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Department of Technical Education and Training to construct a Skill Academy at ITI, Koira. The company will spend Rs 208 crore to build Adarsha Vidyalayas in OMC mining zones and will pay Rs 30 crore per year to run them.
