Home ministry proposes rooftop solar energy panels on CAPFS campuses

According to the union home ministry, rooftop solar energy panels will be installed on all Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and National Security Guard (NSG) campuses in an effort to promote renewable energy and move toward a carbon-neutral economy. In this regard, the ministry and Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) recently inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU). The goal of the MoU is to collaborate on the installation of solar rooftop photovoltaic panels. The green project initiative will generate up to 71.68 MW of solar power.
