Visakhapatnam Port Authority
Visakhapatnam Port Authority has proposed the modernization of the existing EQ 6 berth to enhance its cargo handling capacity. Currently handling 2.5 MMTPA, the project aims to increase capacity by 0.12 MMTPA, reaching 2.62 MMTPA. The berth will continue handling a range of cargo, including Anthracite Coal, Rock Phosphate, Sulphur, Limestone, CP Coke, Stone Aggregate, Ammonium Nitrate, Cement, Iron & Steel, and other bulk and breakbulk commodities. The upgrade involves the addition of new equipment to improve efficiency in cargo operations.
