The high-level clearance authority (HLCA) of the Odisha government has recently approved Vedanta Ltd’s Rs. 50,537 crore investment to set up a six million tonne per annum (MTPA) alumina refinery in Rayagada district. This project will enhance aluminium production capacity and generate 15,900 jobs.
