Musi River Development Corporation, is in the process of preparing the detailed project report (DPR) for the Musi River rejuvenation. A Rs. 4,100 crore proposal has been submitted to the World Bank, primarily for the construction of trunk sewerage lines along both banks of the river, as per assessments by the water board. However, this proposal addresses sewerage infrastructure needs rather than the river’s direct rejuvenation. The DPR is still under development, and funding arrangements remain uncertain.
