Apple Industries is seeking environmental clearance for the expansion of its sponge iron manufacturing capacity at Hirehal Village, Anantapur District, Andhra Pradesh, from 1,00,000 MTPA to 1,20,000 MTPA. This includes the installation of an additional 1×100 TPD kiln using iron ore, limestone, and coal as raw materials, along with an increase in captive power generation from 10 MW (6 MW WHRB and 4 MW AFBC) to 12 MW (8 MW WHRB and 4 MW AFBC).
