JSW Group
JSW Group is set to establish a battery manufacturing facility with a capacity of 50 GWh by 2028-2030, following its recent acquisition of a 35% stake in MG Motor India to strengthen its presence in the electric vehicle (EV) sector. The project will be implemented in phases, beginning with a target of 10 GWh capacity by 2026, expanding to 50 GWh in later phases. This initiative is part of a MoU signed with the Odisha government in February, which includes a commitment of ?40,000 crore for electric vehicle and battery manufacturing in Cuttack and Paradip.
