Maharashtra Approves ?20,375 Cr Cost Hike for Pune Ring Road

The Maharashtra cabinet has approved a ?20,375.21 crore cost escalation for the Pune ring road project, raising the total cost to ?42,711.03 crore. The revision comes three years after the initial estimate, despite no construction starting yet. The Pune ring road (east) will extend from Urse on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway to Solu, and further to Sortapwadi on the Pune-Solapur road. The length has been revised from 68.19 km to 72.335 km, with costs now estimated at ?19,932.98 crore for this section.
