The Uttar Pradesh government has announced plans to establish a radiation treatment plant near Jewar International Airport. This facility is expected to provide significant support to mango growers in the state by enabling them to meet export standards for markets in the US and Europe. The plant, to be developed on a public-private partnership (PPP) model, will feature advanced radiation treatment technology. It aims to enhance the competitiveness of UP’s mangoes in international markets by ensuring they meet strict phytosanitary requirements.
