Maharashtra’s first solar-powered village, Manyachiwadi in Satara, was inaugurated by CM Eknath Shinde. The village, with a population of 420, now has 102 rooftop solar connections, ensuring zero electricity bills for every household. Solar energy also powers street lights and the public water supply system.
