73 Indian Airports Achieve 100% Green Energy Usage, MoCA Pushes for Carbon Neutrality

Airport operators, including the Airports Authority of India (AAI), have installed solar power plants and procured green energy at various airports to promote renewable energy usage. Since 2014, 73 airports have transitioned to 100% green energy, and the Ministry of Civil Aviation is working towards carbon neutrality by standardizing carbon accounting and promoting climate change awareness. Delhi Airport has been carbon neutral since 2016 under the Airport Carbon Accreditation program.
