EaseMyTrip.com is venturing into electric bus manufacturing through its subsidiary, Easy Green Mobility. The company plans to invest ?200 crore ($23.8 million) in R&D, product development, and establishing a manufacturing plant with an initial capacity of 4,000-5,000 buses. Easy Green Mobility will collaborate with YoloBus, another EaseMyTrip subsidiary, to operate the buses. Co-founder Rikant Pittie highlighted the opportunity to localize production and meet the growing demand for electric buses in India.
