Environmental Clearance for Katasahi Manganese Ore Mines

Approval is being sought for the environmental clearance of the Katasahi Manganese Ore Mines project in Keonjhar District, Odisha. The project aims to produce 28,119 TPA of run-of-mine (ROM) manganese ore, with total excavation estimated at 68,289 TPA, including 40,170 TPA of waste. The mining operation will cover an area of 13.674 hectares in Katasahi village, Joda Block, and Champua Subdivision.

Bharat Petroleum’s Refining and Petrochemical Complex

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) is exploring the establishment of a large-scale oil refining and petrochemical complex over the next 5-7 years. This ambitious project is aimed at significantly increasing BPCL’s refining capacity to meet India’s growing energy demands. The new complex is expected to play a crucial role in bolstering the country’s energy infrastructure.

Amcor Flexibles India’s Packaging Manufacturing Facility

Amcor Flexibles India Private Limited plans to set up a new manufacturing facility in Pune, Maharashtra, for producing flexible packaging laminates, foil, paper, and polyester in both roll and pouch forms. The facility will have a production capacity of 4,800 metric tons per year. An Industrial Entrepreneurs Memorandum (IEM) has been filed to initiate this project, which is expected to enhance the packaging industry’s capabilities in the region.
