CR to open Restaurant on Wheels on four stations in Maharashtra

In addition to two such facilities already in place, the Central Railway will shortly open “Restaurant on Wheels” at four more stations in Maharashtra to provide customers with a distinctive experience inside a converted coach installed on rails. Under the Non-Fare Revenue Scheme, the CR opened one such restaurant at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) in Mumbai last year and another one at Nagpur station earlier this year. According to the plan, similar restaurants would soon open at the stations of Akurdi, Chinchwad, and Baramati in the Pune district, and Miraj in Sangli, Maharashtra.
