The Kerala Government has made the decision to open semiconductor parks and other related production facilities in the state in an effort to establish Kerala as a hub for the manufacture of electronic components. The state Cabinet has recently reviewed the feasibility report created by Keltron, C-DAC, VSSC, and the Electronic and Semiconductor Association in this regard. The state government intends to establish a framework for establishing facilities for the production of multi-level printed circuit boards and semiconductor devices. Within 10 weeks, the factory setup framework will be completed. The first units would be built, with an estimated investment of Rs. 1000 crore, in Kochi and Palakkad.
