PMO project gets environmental clearance

The State Environment Impact Assessment Authority, Delhi, granted its Environmental Clearance (EC) on September 1 for the government’s Executive Enclave project, which includes the development of a new Prime Minister’s Office (PMO). Central Public Works Department is implementing the project. The Rs 1,381 crore project would span five structures with a combined built-up size of 90,000 sq mtr. The PMO would occupy 13,822 sq mtr, together with India House (2647 sq mtr), the National Security Council Secretariat, and the Cabinet Secretariat, each of which would occupy 3,295 sq mtr.
