The Chennai Airport’s new Integrated Terminal Building (T-2) work is in final stages of testing and trials. The terminal costing ₹2,467 crore is likely to be made operational by December 2022. It will have a contemporary design combined with fresh concepts and technologies for an improved passenger experience.The upgraded infrastructure on the airside and city side, as well as the multi-level parking structure, are all included in the new integrated terminal project. Airports Authority of India is working on many such projects across the country. Some of these projects are covered in this issue.
