Line 1 of the Pune metro, which runs between PCMC and Phugewadi, has already been operationalized by Maha-Metro from March 2022. The Bopodi-Khadki-Range Hills-Agriculture College segment of this railway will be added. Bopodi and Khadki station construction has been expedited by the Maha-Metro, and after these stations are finished, the route from Phugewadi would be extended to these stations. The work at the Range Hill and Agriculture College elevated stations on Line 1 has also accelerated. The metro will run underground from Range Hills to Swargate. By April 2023, it is anticipated that all UG stations, including Mandai, Budhwar Peth, Civil Court, and Shivajinagar, will be completed. By December 2022, the metro’s elevated section will be completed, and by April 2023, its underground route.
