Government to finalise 50 DPR related to port connectivity road projects in FY23

In order to improve the logistical effectiveness and cargo handling capacity at all ports across the nation, port connectivity road projects are being constructed to complete the last mile link. To increase road connectivity to ports, the government of India has given priority to 65 road projects totaling 2,041 km. Out of these, 9 projects with a total length of 161 km are completed, 4 projects totaling 992 km in length are being developed under other Bharatmala Pariyojna, and 5 projects totaling 105 km in length have been granted under the port connectivity component. The government has lined up 50 detailed project reports (DPR) for finalisation in FY23.
